Our Learning This Week

This week our theme has been Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs. Across the week, the children listened to different stories from the series and talked about the adventures Harry has been on. We have used 2D shapes to make our own dinosaur artwork and have had fun guessing which type of dinosaur our friends have created. We have been exploring dinosaur footprints and have made prints on the playdough and have used paint. In maths this week we have been focusing on using 1pence coins. We have used our farm shop role-play areas to support us in counting out the correct amount of money to buy our items

Upcoming Learning

Next week we will be completing our final Little Wandle assessments for the reception year. We will be collecting your child’s reading record, Little Wandle and sharing books on Thursday 17th July. These will then be passed onto your child’s next class teacher. The children will be exploring prepositional language through the use of maps and will have the opportunity to create their own maps of a familiar place such as their home or classroom.

We will complete a Sports Day practice on Thursday next week. Please ensure your child has sun cream on when they come into school and a sun hat.
