We have been continuing our learning about Monkey Puzzle. We all did a great job at writing the last part of the story. You will be very proud when you see it next Friday at our open afternoon. It was great to see how enthusiastic the children have been this week to make repeating patterns as part of our maths learning. They loved using the multilink to make different colour patterns. They also had a fantastic time on Thursday dressed up in green and taking part in lots of activities, such as making playdough leaves, creating pictures with natural materials and reading the leaf man.
Thank you so much for all your donations. We cannot wait to start our Forest School project!

We are learning about positional language in maths. Give your child a set of instructions to follow. You could get them to use a toy and ask them to place it in different places. For example, put Spiderman under the cushion. We would love to see your videos on tapestry!
Next week we are continuing our jungle theme. In writing we will be using our own imagination to change a part of our story and retell our own stories before having a go at writing them. In maths we will be learning about positional language where the children will have to listen to instructions and carry them out, for example put the beanbag behind you, in front of you or next to you. In art we will be following instructions to draw a giraffe or lion and sketching independently at the craft table.
