English

We will be writing our own instructions for growing cress. We will be writing as independently, practising using all of the things that we have learnt including capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and conjunctions (and, but).

In phonics, we will be reviewing the following sounds in preparation for the phonics screening check:

i /igh/ as in tiger

a /ai/ as in paper

ow /oa/ as in snow

u /yoo/ as in unicorn

The tricky words we will focus on this half term will be:

two      eye       thought      through         friend

Don’t forget to review the sounds and tricky words in the front of the reading records whenever you read with your child.
