Can your child read and write these words?

We are asking for donations of any unwanted toys for our new outdoor learning area. This could include cars, sand toys, water toys, books etc. Thank you very much.

Non uniform day Monday 6th July – please bring in a bottle (e.g. squash, pop, toiletries – not alcohol.) However if you have anything you’d like to donate to the prize stall at the summer fayre that would be fantastic too.

Summer Fayre – Friday 10th July – 2pm – 4pm.

We are always grateful for any parent who can offer help at the stalls even for just some of the time. If you think you will be available please let Mrs Taylor or the office know. Thank you.

Year 1 School Disco – new date – Thursday 16th July – collect from classrooms at 4pm. Party clothes to be brought into school.

Maths
We will be revisiting some of the topics we have covered earlier on in the year. We will start by looking at 2D and 3D shapes then we will be moving onto measuring and building on the children’s independence when using rulers. Then lastly we will be working on number bonds to 10 and 20 and problem solving.
Topic
In science we will be completing our work about seasonal changes and learning about the season of summer and  comparing this to the other seasons.

In history we will continue to learn about Queen Victoria and are going to create a timeline about her life.

In art we will be continuing with our sun collage in the style of Gaudi.

In mindfulness we will be exploring courage. We will be learning through a story and games that it’s important to give new things a go even if you may feel worried at first. It is important to be brave and believe in yourself to succeed.

Homework
The children will be coming home with a sheet related to telling the time to o’clock.

Please could this be written in pencil and returned to school by Wednesday 8th July.
