Next week we will be looking ahead to our new adventure of moving on to Year 3. We will also be reflecting on our time at Howbridge Infant School. We will begin by thinking about our favourite memories from our time at the infants and will use adjectives and adverbs to describe and explain the different things we have done. We will also think about what we have achieved and learnt. We will then be thinking about what we are looking forward to in Year 3 and will write about our hopes for the year ahead.

This week in our Mindfulness session with Abbey we focused on ‘healthy movement’. We revisited our favourite yoga activities but with a special Disney theme! We practised breathing techniques and different stretches that help us to feel calm.
We will be continuing our recap on all of the units covered so far this year. We will enjoy doing this using the outdoor classroom as well as recorded activities in the classroom too. We will also have fun completing problem solving activities involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using practical resources.
We had a fantastic week taking part in our Love of Music day, Summer Fayre and visiting the juniors for their iRock concert! Next week we will be completing some fun activities based on our topic of Pirates and the seaside. We are going to be learning about lighthouses. We will look at lighthouses from around the UK and will learn about their different parts and why they are so useful.
This week please complete summer term workout 10 on pages 68 and 69.
Please ensure homework books are placed into the class box by Wednesday ready for them to be marked and handed back on a Friday.
