Next week we will be writing the Nativity story. We are going to be using time connectives to sequence the main events and will use adjectives to describe the settings and characters. We will think carefully about using punctuation such as full stops, commas and exclamation marks. With a friend, we will share our stories and will practise acting out key scenes.

Nativity Costume Deadline:

If you need help with any aspect of your child’s costume please do not hesitate to speak to us and we will be more than happy to help.
Next week we will continue our work on Shape. We will continue to explore the edges, faces and vertices of 2D and 3D shapes and will compare shapes according to their properties. We will then learn about lines of symmetry and will explore these on different 2D shapes.
Next week we will be learning about meteorologist Edith Farkas. We will write sentences to explain why she was famous and what she achieved. In Geography we will be comparing The UK and Russia by thinking about the human and physical features in both localities. We will use photographs and books to make comparisons. We will also be continuing to practise our performance of The Big Little Nativity!
The children will be bringing home their own maths time table challenge books. Each week we will state which ‘workouts’ and pages we would like the children to complete. Please stick to these pages and do not rush ahead.
This week, please complete Workout 10 on pages 20 and 21.
Books are to be handed in on a Wednesday, ready to be marked and will be sent back out on a Friday.
